Classes at The Studio Art Center

Most classes at The Studio Art Center are taught by Susan Pidgeon, MFA. We are currently offering classes at various places all over Charleston SC. Mrs Pidgeon graduated with a BA in art from College of Charleston in 1999. She then went on to get her MFA degree from UNC Greensboro in 2001. Mrs Pidgeon has the highest art degree you can have which is the Masters of Fine Arts Degree which enables her to teach on the college level. She has been teaching private art lessons in homes/her studio as well as working for Charleston County Community Education since 2001. Mrs Pidgeon decided after the birth of her daughter in 2007 that she would primarily focus on photography due to the ease of that art form with a child in tow. Mrs Pidgeon's photography can be seen on her Assassin Photo website at www.assassinphoto.wordpress.com or on her Assassin Photo page on Facebook. During the course of her career, Mrs Pidgeon also has worked as an instructor at The Artists Loft in Mount Pleasant SC teaching homeschoolers as well as for the City of Charleston at James Island Recreation Center as Youth Art Instructor as well as for the County teaching Community Education Classes at James Island High School. Currently, Mrs. Pidgeon has decided to advance her own business with a definitive location so that she has the freedom to plan and offer classes at her own convenience. It is the culmination of her life's work.

The Studio Art Center offers classes at various locations all over Charleston SC.....but primarily at 1613 Fort Johnson Rd at The Masonic Lodge.

Beginning Jan 2016 TSAC will be offering Artist Workshops on various topics. Schedule soon!

**New way to do business.....Pay as u go/come when u can! $25/2 hr class**

Just give us a call and tell us what subject and what day/time works for you & we will plug you into our current schedule!

The Studio Art Center is willing to accommodate your schedule so please ask us and we might be able to change a day or time if enough people show a desire to meet then. We also are willing to consider children that are not within the age bracket if the parent feels they would do well in a serious art environment such as a teenager in an adult class or a particularly mature younger child that will not disturb others within the class. We try to have an open door policy and

work to ensure everyone can have access to our classes ( within reason and up to the discretion of our instructors) so TSAC also offers appointments to further accomodate various schedules. These are like private lessons for the cost of a class. TSAC wants everyone to be able to have access to artistic endeavors and we will do what we can to accomodate our clients.

Please check out our Facebook and Twitter and Instagram and Yelp pages for current images of students and their work!

Looking forward to working with you to improve your artistic ability!!

Thanks so much.
